Pauline Drew

I am a registered nurse qualifying in 1982 and have spent many years working in the NHS. In 2001 I completed my Relate training as a Relationship Counsellor and then went on to do an additional two years to gain a Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy. I am an accredited member of The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists and work to their code of ethics. I advise prospective clients to look at the CORST website for further information. I worked for Somerset Relate until the charity folded in April 2011, along with my Relate colleagues I am now a member of Relationship Somerset, an organisation set up to continue offering Relate services within Somerset.

I have additional training in Therapeutic Meditation and a Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Therapy (AFT accredited). Therapeutically I use a combination of therapeutic strategies encompassing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

The areas of difficulty I focus on are:

• Anxiety about sex
• Erectile problems
• Premature ejaculation
• Painful intercourse
• Loss of desire
• Difficulty reaching orgasm

I work with couples or individuals.
