Lisa Watts is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist and has been
practising Complementary Therapies since 1991.
Lisa suffered for many years with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.).
With no recognition from doctors at that time, the only way forward
was through complementary medicine. Lisa is now writing about her
experience - to give hope to others - in a book entitled 'The Lost
Years'.
Lisa passed with Excellence at the Karuna Institute for
Craniosacral Therapy in Devon and was trained by one of the South
West's leading tutors in Sports Therapy. She is also an experienced
Aromatherapist and Reflexologist, having spent several years
teaching ITEC Post Graduate Courses.
Lisa is dedicated to helping others and focuses on the cause - not
just the symptoms presented - thus offering a deeply healing and
corrective treatment. Lisa works with adults and babies,
specialising in Craniosacral Therapy and the effects of shock and
trauma.
Craniosacral therapy, based on the teachings of Osteopathy, is a
profound form of healing and is extremely gentle - using no
manipulation.
You do not have to take part in a sport to suffer a sporting type injury. The type of injury suffered by a sports person does not differ from those in many other activities, as injuries can be caused by lifting, falls, accidents, poor posture and stress.
Treatments may
include:
• Sports massage
techniques
• Spinal manipulation
• Ultrasound therapy
•
Hyperton-X (a gentle muscle release for
maximum mobility in the joints and muscles)
• Craniosacral
therapy (to
release trauma and pain)
Even where there is no obvious reason some babies experience birth as a traumatic event. Craniosacral therapy can help the baby to process the experience of birth very gently. In this way the therapist will be able to relax any compressions or tensions which have developed due to stress of any kind and that, if left untreated, may lead to other symptoms.
Baby Clinic/baby massage classes.
The addition of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to Lisa's range of skills enables healing work on the mind as well as the body, releasing negative thoughts and feelings and therefore promoting a positive mental attitude.
