York House has a very friendly, welcoming and peaceful
atmosphere.
The journey to wellness is a journey of change and the first step
is often the hardest, Karen made this first step easy for me. With
one to one support, meditation, back massage and even a personally
tailored yoga workout, Karen gently put me on the right
path.
I took the eight week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course run
by Karen and Dr. Maya Spencer. Mindfulness techniques were taught
to help change the way our reality is perceived .In small groups we
were able to discuss any problems in a free and safe environment.
With approximately three quarters of an hour home practice each day
I learnt to look at the world in a less stressful and more positive
way.
Each week I attend one of Karen's yoga classes which are fun and
friendly.
I was looking for help and support in a non-judgemental friendly
atmosphere and I found it at York House. Thank
